Vetaceph Plus Antibiotic Injection for Dairy Animals is a third Generation Cephalosporin with irreversible Beta-lactamase inhibitor. It is a Ceftriaxone is bactericidal in action. The bactericidal activity of ceftriaxone results from inhibition of cell wall synthesis. It contains Sulbactum which is a potent, highly specific irreversible inhibitor of beta-lactamase producted by bacteria. By forming a protein complex with beta-lactamases, Sulbactum irreversibly blocks their destructive hydrolytic activity. Thus, the full potential of Ceftriaxone is restored by the addition of sulbactum. Vetaceph plus Antibiotic Injection for Dairy Animals is used when the indications are seen of mastitis, respiratory tract infection. It is used to treat Genito-urinary tract infection, Gastro-intestinal infection and bone and joint infection. It is used to treat meningitis and surgical prophylaxis of the dairy animals. Vetaceph plus Antibiotic Injection for Dairy Animals are also used to treat skin and soft tissue infection and to prevent secondary bacterial infection
