What is Melamet Cream ?
Melamet Cream is a branded medicated cream, usually prescribed for the treating and lightening dark skin spots,wrinkles and acne on skin. This cream is manufactured and marketed by UTH HEALTH CARE. This cream is available in the packaging of 15 gm per tube.
Melamet Cream has combination of three active substituents in composition in % w/w is being described below
Hydroquinone – 2 %W/W
Mometasone furoate – 0.1%W/W
Tretinoin – 0.025 %W/W
How does it work ?
Tretinoin belong to class of retiniods which helps prevent or reduce the intensity of acne or treat acne and wrinkles by peeling off dead skin cells or by stopping the growth of skin cells.
Hydroquinone is skin bleaching agent which lightens skins where hyperpigmentation has occured like pregnancy marks , chloasma, melasma, freckles, this works by stoping the skin coloring agents and bleaching action
Cortisone is adrenocortical steroids and anti-allergy treats or reduces inflammation ,swelling, itching, and redness by stopping inflamation causing factors.
